[Media Tasting] Modern European Brunch at FYR Cycene Ond Drinc

Located at Boon Tat Street in Raffles Place, Singapore, FYR Cycene Ond Drinc offers primal and on-trend cooking of modern european dishes! FYR (pronounced as 'fire') is a casual dining restaurant that purveys modern european grills enlivened by Southeast Asian spices, with all of its cuisines made using Josper Wood Charcoal Oven and lychee wood for a wonderful smoky note!



Enjoy meal-time in this spacious, rustic vibes with high ceiling, flavoured by an overhanging vintage chandelier and sepia-hued wall mural. FYR is helmed by a management team and key service staff with as many as 15 years of experience.

Refreshing flavoured sodas ($4.50) as our drinks choice for our brunch and i had Honey Lemonade!


For a fun and unique dining experience, one can FYR's specially created Party Detox Basket ($10) which allows patrons to whip up their own version of Bloody Mary. Its ingredients include vodka, grilled fresh tomato juice, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, rock salt and raw vegetables.

Alternatively, patrons can opt for one of the most favourite cocktails for brunch - My Hot Vino Tinto ($10). It is a very refreshing red wine-based cocktail infused with orange, apple and cinnamon.

Well cooked, pillowy Grilled Squid with Tumeric, Garlic, Crispy Onion, and Lime Leaves ($12) was one of the great starter you can find in its menu. A flavourful small bite and my friend couldn't stop munching on its crispy onion!


Also tried the Skillet-roasted Escargot with Tumeric, Lemongrass, and Toasted Bread ($12) which my friend loves it alot! I must say just by dipping the bread into the sauce is enjoyable to the palate!


Serve in baskets were these oven baked Yam and Sweet Potato with Cheese sauce and Tomato Salsa ($8). I am a big potato lover, and never will i get sick of fries! Good sweet potato fries are hard to find.. Their fries came in thin, nicely crisp and lightly seasoned with great dipping sauces!


Moving on to the mains.. FYR's brunch menu is available every weekend from 9 am till 3:30pm. Weekend brunch menu at FYR features unique brunch offerings that are not commonly seen in other establishments.

Baked Java Curry Chicken Ragout ($15) in which the chicken stew is spiked by the flavours of kidney beans, sweet corn as well as coriander. the spring onion crepe can be used to soak up the delicious gravy.




Another savoury dish is their Baked Beef Hash ($18), traditional dish gets a sophisticated spin. Enticing ribeye comes with corned beef and spring onion crepe.


Meat lovers can go for Grilled steak and eggs ($28) which stars a striploin cooked to perfection. Crispy on the outside and really tender inside. The glorious slab of meat is accompanied by toasted bread and a perfect sunny side up! A dish worth ordering!



A great choice for people who are not into beef can go for their Salmon instead! Baked Blinis with grilled salmon, avruga caviar and grated bottarga ($15). Blinis is a popular traditional dish in europe having a thin pancake made with yeasted butter, quite addictive munching on it! A hearty meal to kick start your day!


I also enjoyed sipping into a cup of their unique house blend coffee, freshly brew using the premium La Marzocco Espresso machine..


Complete the meal with FYR's best-selling dessert Baked Pistachio Melt & Pandan Ice cream ($10)! Much anticipated to it the moment i see their menu and nope, it did not disappoint me at all. Beautifully presented, loving the soft molten cake topped with cinnamon and chopped nuts.. A very delicious and pleasant dessert!



So glad seeing Amber again and enjoyed brunch-ing together! =)
